Well, I've been planning a trip for June 2005 for 13 people (4 families) for 4 nights. I was all set for everyone to stay at the Beach Club for easy access to EPCOT and MGM for my Dad who will be 70 years old. My family of 4 was going to stay in the BCV because we need a kitchen. Now it looks like my Dad wants to wait for a "deal" through AAA (they claim they will have a 7 days for the price of 5 coming up?) so I don't think we will be able to stay at the same resort after all. But the good news is that we are going for 7 nights instead of 4.
So since we have kids 3 and 6 years old and we need a kitchen, I was thinking maybe we are better staying at the VWL instead of the BCV? My reasoning for this is I read a thread on SAB and it being hard to keep track of little kids. My kids don't swim yet, so I need to keep a good eye on them. Is this a good reason? Do you think my kids will love VWL? I liked the idea of BCV because of all the things within walking distance, but realistically, we will spend most of our time at MK, some at MGM, and a visit to AK. EPCOT probably isn't high on our list with young children.
I was going to try and rent points for VWL for Sun-Thurs. What do you think if we switch to the GF or another MK resort after that? DVC Points for Fri-Sat-Sun go way up so I thought I could save a little and move? Will this be a hassle? Would we miss our kitchen and the space? Does the GF have a nice beach for wading and playing? Thanks for all your advice!
