After vacationing several years in a row at Disney we finally decided to become members last year.Anyway, we're making our first trip "HOME" 12/9/05. We're splitting our stay between SSR and VWL. About five days at each. Anyone else plan vacations like this? It wasn't exactly what we wanted but availability dictates sometimes. As our trip nears I find myself thrilled to get to experience two different resorts on one trip. We're a low maintenance family but is this hectic, switching in the middle of the week?

We always split our vacations among two resorts, because we like them all, and we miss them if we don't go back for awhile! One time we may go to OKW/BW, and another time we may do SSR/WL. Next summer we are trying to figure out how to do a BWV/VB/OKW vacation with only 11 days. ;)

I love switching..last trip we did SSR and BWV(also 5 days at each)...this trip we are doing BCV and VWL. I like using the closer parks to the resorts. We pack the night before we move..I prepare a bag that has swim suits(plastic bag), sun block...etc. In the am we dress for the parks, I bring my bag and check it at the park we are going to. Call bell services for pick up asap in the morning(or arrange the night before). They will tell you when your bags will be at the other resort. We go off and have fun, and try to check in around 1-4pm...if room isn't ready, we go to the pool or grab a snack or meal. I think it is really easy. :cool1:

We have have always stayed at one resort, I feel that I would not be able to totally settle in and relax at the first resort knowing I have to move in a few days.

We're nesters, too. Until the suitcases are unpacked and the soda pop is in the fridge, we're not 'home'. That being said, we have developed a new pattern since we've moved from Detroit to Phoenix. With the time zone difference, we never arrive before 3:30 or 4PM - by the time we get our luggage, our car and get to the resort, it's almost always after 5. So we spend one night in a non-SSR studio (VWL last time, OKW in about a week) and sort of veg out - travel days can be tiring. Then the next day we drive to SSR, check in early and get a great room. But I'd never do a '5 at one, 5 at another' - packing up and moving doesn't float my boat, and it's not like we're not going to have more than enough chances to stay at all the resorts, anyway....

We're splitting our next stay, 4 nights at VWL, 2 nights at the Swan (thinking about switching to the GF if we can get a good rate), and 5 nights at BCV.

I suspect you need to consider what you are going to do about the contents of your refrigerator. Other than that I think its easy. Just plan a day with an activity that works with checking out and checking in. If you are going over MK way for your hotel do MK, if you are going towards EPCOT do that...if you are going towards one of the water parks maybe do that.

Even that is easy:)

Just put your "cold storage" items in a bag, let you Bell Services CM know, they'll tag it..

We've never had a problem:) It's fun to switch - we always feel like we're getting "more vacations!"
