I have a 7 night stay at POR with the (not really) free dining promo in sept, to save some money I'm also booked in a room only reservation at CBR for one night the day before on my arrival day to make use of ME. I'm wondering if we can enter the parks on our arrival day using our CBR magic bands since both reservations are linked on my account?

Both bands should work for everything. Make sure you are checked into CBR before entering the parks of your 'charging privileges' on the bands will not work. You can do online check-in if you want to head to the park before going to the hotel.

Before entering a park on your CBR arrival day, you'll need to activate your package tickets at a Ticket Window or Guest Relations. Once activated, you can book FPs for that day.

Because you have a package tied to POR, you won't be able to pre-book FPs for your arrival day.

I'm thinking you've got to go somewhere to activate your tickets since they are tied to your FD stay. MDE knows you have them, but they're really not "yours" until you check into your second resort.

thanks for the info! I totally forgot about booking fast passes . I shouldve booked our CBR day as the last day instead because we have an early morning flight, I was trying to save us the hassle of switching rooms after a long park day.

I am also wondering when would we be able to access our dining credits? will I be able to use it for a quick service breakfast on my CBR check out day before physically going to POR if I were to check in online?

You'll need to select the earliest arrival time for POR during online check-in. You'll also need to physically checkout of CBR and I believe on the Dining Plan board it's suggested you have CBR call POR to verify your checkout and to make sure everything is set for POR.
