Split Stay Ticket Question

We are planning a split stay this spring and I had a ticket question in regards to the new MagicBands. We will be staying at AoA on Saturday and Sunday and have a package with tickets planned for Mon-Saturday. Since I am pre-ordering the MagicBands will I be able to use a days ticket on Sunday before I check-in to our package? We want to go to the MK on Sunday but I don't want to purchase a single day ticket when I can just add a day to our package for much cheaper. Also will I need to check in to my resort on Monday before I can use my dining plan credits if I have one? We are still debating on the dining plan (have to see if we would save money or not) but I don't want to have to use park time to check-in when I can do it in the afternoon if I don't have to. TIA!!!

My understanding is that once tickets are put on the MBs, they can be used. Anytime.

Yes, you will need to check-in at your package resort for the DP credits to become available as that's tied directly to the resort package stay and not simply to your tickets. DP credits will only be available on the dates that you stay at that resort (with the package) -- including full arrival and departure days, they can't be used earlier or later.
