We are planning a split stay for our trip the week of Halloween. We are staying at the Polynesian for just 2 nights, then POFQ for 5 nights, when my in-laws arrive. We wanted to stay at the same resort with them. On switchover day, Thursday, I have booked DS 5 yo on Pirate Cruise at GF. So, here is the plan...

DH or I take DS to Pirate Cruise at 9am via monorail then go back to room. Finish packing and check-out. Then we all (also have DS 2 yo) will pick-up DS from Pirate Cruise at 11:30 and head into MK. Later in the afternoon, go to POFQ, check-in and meet up with in-laws. Probably go to Epcot Food & Wine booths for dinner.

It seems like a good plan to me, but am I missing something?
Also, if I am already packed, do you have any suggestions of something special to do with DS 2 yo, during the timeframe of the cruise?

Thank you for your input! I love planning! :flower:

how about breakfast with the 2 yr. old...........O'hana, 1900 Park and Chef Mickey all on monorail loop

Poly will transfer all of your bags to POFQ for you and deliver them to your room.

:sunny: I have a question along these lines for someone. We booked a split stay also. We will be checking in on Oct. 1 at POFQ for 3 nights and then onto the Boardwalk Inn for 4 nights. My question is, what experiences have you all had with the luggage transfer service? I remember someone posting that it might be slow so take anything really important with you. :confused3

So I cant decide whether to just pack our luggage in the car and take it or let the luggage service handle it. This is my brother and his wife's first trip and I want it to go smoothly!

Here is another idea-if you want to get the checking in done at POFQ early, one of you could head over there and get checked in while the other one packs.

Then, you can just call during the day to check and see when your room is actually ready.

We did this last year when we transferred from BC to POR. I packed up and the kids had breakfast while my husband got us checked in at POR. Our room was not ready (didn't think it would be) but it was nice to have it done and we got all our room requests.

Bell Services typically guarantees delivery between 3-4pm. We do it all the time and have never had a problem.

Check what time you need to drop off bags for bell hop / And you need to be in the room for them to pick up. They came in like 5 minutes for us. So qucik that he had to wait a couple of minutes for us to finish. We were told that the tranfser bus came at 12 if we missed that it might take a long time to get our bags. When we got to new hotel after morning MGM bags were in our room. It was great. Also you might want to pack bags so one suitcase has stuff for second part of trip this made it real nice and didn't pack and unpack everything twice.
