hello all,
just trying to plan out my meals/credits for our split stay.
(dxdp at both resorts i know we're crazy but we are gluttons for food!)

i know my credits from the 1st half of our stay expire at midnight upon check out.

now,

here's the situation: when we check into our second half of our split stay i will have 1 ts credit left over from our first half of our stay.
we want to eat at a 2 credit ts resto that night.
would we be able to use the 1 remaining credit in addition to 1 new batch of credit to 'pay' for this meal?

thanks for taking the time to read this!

You can't use credits from both stays for a single person but you could use 2 credits for one person from the first stay and 2 credits for another person on the second stay. That'll only work if you have an even number of Disney adults and/or kids.

You will not be able to do what you are suggesting, which is to use the 1 credit from the first stay plus 1 credit from the second stay to pay for a 2 credit meal for one person. For a 2 credit meal, both credits must come from the same room reservation account.

If you have 2 TS credits left over, you can use 2 TS credits from the first account for 1 person. As noted, that won't work if you have an uneven number of adults and kids. if you have 2 adults and 1 kid, then you'd have one adult covered by the 2 leftover adult TS credits, but not the kid as there is only 1 child's credit available.

Your post is sending shivers down my spine LOL! We just got back last week and had to do a split stay for DVC purposes but was actually in the same room at BCV the entire 8 days. We had the DDP and it was an absolute NIGHTMARE.

We had been on the phone numerous times regarding this check in/check out situation and were promised that "nothing would change" on our reservation and the c/i c/o was more of a formality due to the credit card on file. We were never told that we would lose all of our unused DDP credits. They were nice enough to transfer them over to the 2nd half of our reservation, but it never worked. Every restaurant we went to kept getting error messages, we had to pay out of pocket for almost every meal, we spent at least an hour a day with the front desk getting reimbursed, explaining what was happening to various staff. It was AWFUL.

Not trying to scare you, but the computer did not like split stays on the DDP at least in our experience.

You aren't supposed to lose your DDP credits just based on a check-out and check-in, they are supposed to be good until midnight AFTER you check out, although they will not last any longer than that. Sounds like they just made a mistake.

LOL! Your situation sent shivers down MY spine!
i'm sorry you had such a bad experience with the DDP. I have heard that sometimes information gets 'wiped' out during these types of transactions.
I do love the technology Disney uses, but we can't always rely on machines.

thanks for the replies everyone. i will sort our selves out so that we can either expend all our credits from the first stay or do that two old two new as you have all suggested would work.

thanks again!
