Split stay question

We are staying on DVC points at BWV in June. DH's work schedule is allowing us to extend our trip by a couple of days. Unfortunately at this point BWV has no availability for us to stay in the same room, so we will be moving (AKL, OKW, SSR are our choices). How much hassle is it to change resorts? Do you just call a cab? What am I looking at logistically? Also, how to I go about adding days to our existing 4-day park hoppers?

Switching resorts is easy. You have a few options when it comes to your bags. Disney will move them free of charge. You only need to pack up and call down when you want them picked up. The only negative being you won't have access to those bags until late in that day, around 4 pm or so. You need to be in your new room for them to deliver them to you, unlike Magical Express they won't bring them up to an empty room. Or you could just call a cab and take your bags to your new resort yourselves.

Adding days to your tickets is easy, they can do that at any Guest Services window. The bad thing is you can't add days ahead of time, so you won't be able to book FP+ ahead of time for those new bonus days.

You can call Bell Services to pick up your luggage that morning. They will move it to the other resort. They can actually have the luggage delivered to the room if you have done the online check-in for the second resort. Pretty convenient. After you leave the first resort, you can play in the park and then go to the second resort at night to check-in physically, and your luggage should already be in the room waiting for you.

We just did it last week.

Switching resorts is so easy!! I don't like to wait for bell services so I just haul our luggage to the front desk and tell them what we are doing and they move the luggage for us. Then we go to a park or DTD and then when we are done just hop on a bus for the new resort!

Add the new ticket days the day you arrive, and you'll have a few days ahead to try for FPs. Might be better than trying to get them same day.

agree with everyone else. Super easy to do and we split stay every time we go!
