Split stay question

I'm gonna do a split stay in October. I plan on staying at POFQ for 6 nights then an all star for 2 night after. Do I have to get the dining plan for all 8 nights or is it a separate reservation? Also am I responsible for my own luggage transport or can Disney assist me with that?

It will be two separate reservations. So you can choose to have the dining plan on the first 6 nights at POFQ, that's no problem. When you checkout just let Bell Services know you'd like your luggage transferred to All Star and they can take care of it for you. :D

As TigrLvsPooh mentioned, Disney will transport your luggage. Give it to bell services in the morning and head off to a park for the day. In the afternoon, head to the new resort and check in. Once in your room, call for your luggage to be delivered (you have to be in the room when they bring it). Note that the luggage typically doesn't get to the new resort until late afternoon, so anything you may need during the day (medications, etc.), you should keep with you on moving day.

Thanks so much for the responses. I know this may sound like a stupid question but after I give them my luggage and head to the park can I come back that night like after the fireworks to check in and request my luggage?

Thought I read recently that Disney may be charging a fee, think I read $25 to transport luggage on a split stay????:confused3 If that be the case, consider a taxi that way you have your luggage instead of waiting till possibly late in day for it...:confused3

Yes, as long as you're okay going that long without a room.

That was a rumor that was floating around a few weeks ago. There's been no confirmation, and several posters have reported since that time that they were not charged for the luggage service.

I read that too. Not a true report.

I hope they don't start charging. It's a great service
.

If you decide you do want the dining plan for both reservations you will have to buy separate tickets for each reservation. Disney will not recognize a split reservation to them any splits are totally different trips and treated as such.
