Split Stay Question

New DVC member here with a question about split stays. We will be traveling in April 2013 for 9 nights. We want to spend the first 5 at our home resort AKV, but the last 4 at BCV. Should I go ahead and book my entire stay at AKV and when my 7 months window opens for BCV cancel part of my reservation, or should I book only my 5 nights at AKV. I worry I won't be able to get BCV for those other 4 days, but we would also be happy with BWV, VWL or BLT. Anyone know what my chances are being peak season and all?

Book AKV and switch to BCV if available. Book BCV at 7 months and you might get it.

Yes I agree with disneynuts. Always book your home resort at 11 months out for your entire trip. Then you can always switch at the 7 month period for the days you want. If nothing is available at 7 months out then you still have a room and keep in mind the VWL and BCV are the smallest resorts. Good luck.
