Split Stay - Pool Use

We're staying at BWV in Nov. We've never done a split stay before but may try a split stay at BCV for the last 3 nights of our vacation this year. Can we use the BCV pool before the 4pm check-in time on the day we switch resorts if we use online check-in or will we still be considered BWV guests until 4pm that day?

Yes, as soon as you checkin to BCV you can use the pool. You might want to use separate MBs and colors for each part of the split stay.

When you are ready to check out of BWV, stop by the front desk, tell them that you are moving to BCV and they will close your account at BWV. Walk over to BCV, check in and the pool is yours.

If the old resort doesn't check you out, the new resort can have issues with your MB's, DDP, and opening your room door.

Why would they need to use separate bands? They are all interchangeable.

The front desk needs to assign your bands to the room door for access. If you have a band assigned to your old room, you won't be able to unlock the new resort room door.

Yes, I realize you need to check out of your first resort and then check-in, but after that, all bands should work. Keeping the bands separate does nothing because they are linked to the same MDE account.

We just did a Poly/BWV split stay last week. I did not realize at the time that we should have officially checked out at the Poly before checking in to BWV. The BWV CM asked me if I had gone to the Poly desk to check out. When I told her no, she just took our bands and fixed it on her computer. It didn't take long at all and we were able to use our same bands without any problem.

Maybe they have things figured out now. Last year we moved from VGF to BWV and they sent us to our room twice at BWV and we couldn't open the door. Finally they got IT involved and they told us that VGF had not closed our file yet. Total time at the front desk at BWV, 45 minutes.
