Split Stay/ Park Ticket question

We have two reservations a 1 night room only at Swan on 12/21. Then an 8 night with our tickets and dining plan starting the 22nd at Animal Kingdom Lodge. We were not planning on entering the parks until 12/22. But now that the Candlelight Processional packages/narrators were released we want to go in on the 21st to see Neil Patrick Harris. I think I know the answer but just want to verify. I can go ahead and access my park tickets on the 21st just not my dining plan correct? We will just pay out of pocket for our CP Package that night but just want to make sure I can use my park tickets the day before we check with the package my tickets are linked to?

You are correct. You can use tickets tied to a package up to 10 days early. You will just have to go to a Guest Services location to do this. There is one located outside every park (International Gateway included) and at Disney Springs.
