I will be doing a split stay in early May. Do the Disneyland hotels handle a split stay like the Disney World hotels do? At Disney World, I can call bell service in the morning, they will come get my luggage and transfer it to the next resort. When I get to the resort, I call bell service and luggage is delivered. I'm hoping that's the case otherwise I will need advice on the easiest way to get my luggage transferred.

Yes, they do transfer the luggage. I did this once, and it was misplaced temporarily...... Honestly, I now walk it across the street from GC to PP. (we do split stays every year or 2, staying at VGC 4 days and PP 3 days.)

It is a very short walk. But I guess if you had lots of stuff and kids too young to help out, it would be easier to get them to transfer it for you.

You will be unbelievably surprised at how close the two hotels are to each other... And when we stay at PPH we cut thru GCH to get to the parks... You could conceivably take everything with you on the way to the parks in the morning and drop it all off at GCH (even check in if you give yourself enough time!)

Thanks!

I keep envisioning Disney World so it is hard to comprehend how close the parks and hotels are going to be to each other.

How does Paradise Pier compare to Disney World hotels? I've stayed at all levels of hotels at Disney World.

We went to wdw last May, and did a split stay at Coronado springs and AKL... We love PPH, but I think it is closer to a wdw value than CS... You do have the inside hallways, coffee makers and queen beds though... So wdw would probably consider it a moderate lol. The pool area sucks compared to everything in wdw, but the rooms are nicely Disney-fied, and if you have a theme park view... Wow!! GCH is similar to wilderness lodge or even AKL... Dark and lots of wood. You will love the contrast between the two I think.

To give you an idea of distance... If you leave PPH out the valet door area, cross the street at the light, and walk up to the doors of the GCH, it's about the same distance as from the cafeteria area at AKL to the parking lot for AKL :)
