Good morning,
For your length of stay I think you'll be fine.
The big concern with a resort transfer is working out the move of your luggage and the check in time. The problem of course being that you have to check out some 4 hours before they are obligated to check you back in.
Now I have heard mixed results with luggage transfer. What I would recommend is that if you have your own car that you bring it to the resort yourself and have that resort store it until your room is ready. That way you eliminate any delays on behalf of the resort you just checked out of. Be prepared for all the tipping involved. Hey, it's insurance to see that you get your luggage back!
If you don't have your own car, they will of course make the transfer completely from one resort to another, so you are covered.
In BOTH cases, I recommend that you pack a backpack with clothing and goods you'd like to have available to you should there be a long delay in getting your luggage. Maybe even two and your family can carry the other. This will ensure your trip doesn't spend time in "limbo" waiting for needed items to arrive to your new room.
If you're the kind who can spend a day at the park without returning, then this is the day for it. Check out and attempt to check in at the next resort. If they have your room available, you're in. If not, you'll be given a number you can call every so often to see when your room is available. That way you can enjoy the park and still check up on your room status. Be aware that special requests for location will most likely lengthen the time you have to wait. Do it anyways if it makes a difference to you.
We've made changes between resorts in 2 and 5 day increments. We'll be doing the same again later this year. It's worth it when you want to try a place out and then go visit an old favorite.

Enjoy and good luck...
