Split stay or no?

We have 6 nights booked currently at AoA in the LM rooms. My IL's are going with us, but only staying 4 days. I'm seriously contemplating spending those last 2 nights at POR in a RGR. I think DD(4) would absolutely love it.

Is it worth it to do a 4/2 split? We will have most of the last day with our flight leaving at 7:30 PM. Also, would this affect ME at all?

If you're ok with taking the time to switch hotels, I would say do it. If you won't have a car, you can drop your bags at bell services and they will transport them to the new resort by about 3 or 4pm.

I would check in at POR early and then go about your day. Bring your day bags and you can leave them with bell services there(or maybe your room will already be ready). You will need to take a bus to the closest theme park and then from there to POR.

Unless there is a way to link your reservations, you will probably need to call and change your ME return airport info to POR.

We're not split type of guests especially for such a short trip....we did it once and did not care for the rigamoral it took.... Being resort less possibly till 3pm and later, fridge contents (drinks and such in limbo) not to our liking.

We were without our second resort room and items until after 4pm.... We don't like going to a park and getting all sweated up and having no where to return to to change shower etc.

We got a taste of a split and it cured us... We like to unload all our baggage, store the groceries and drinks and only think about having fun, not packing up down the line and moving!!

It all depends. Personally, I would not do it in your current situation because you have to pack up again in less than two days. If you think that may be frustrating for you then don't do it.
We did a split out last stay but it was 4 nights at the Doubletree and 5 nights at CBR. I didn't mind packing everything up since it was only the middle of our stay.
We brought a soft cooler with us and placed our fridge contents in there with some ice. We checked out of DT and had them hold our luggage. We went shopping at the Premier Outlets. We got back around 4:30 and had them get us a cab to CBR. We checked in right away and put everything away in our room. We were off exploring the resort in no time.

Note: We had a ton of items: bottled water and juice, breakfast foods, bread etc. But my DD's are 7 and 13 so they were a big help.

I never thought we would have like doing a split stay,we bring alot of stuff since we drive.we just returned from our august trip and unexpectedly switched resorts. On our fourth day, and i LOVED me switching resorts it felt like our vacation was starting over again. I will definitely. Do it again!!!
