Original plan:

Fly in on Tuesday, check in to DLH. Disneyland for Wed-Fri, check out of DLH and move to BW Pavillion, but still do DL all day into the night. Saturday was booked to do an Anahiem Tour company tour - all day, Warner Bros included.

Just heard from Anaheim Tours - we are the only two booked for the Saturday, they need 3 to run. Would we move to Friday? My original email to them was no, we are at DL.

But now I've had time to mull it over. We could do the tour Friday if we can be picked up at DLH (check out that morning and leave luggage & rental car at Disney until end of day) get dropped off at DLH, drive over to BW and then walk to DL for the day Saturday instead.

Is this feasible? The only reservation I'd have to change would be our Friday lunch at Cafe Orleans to Saturday lunch.

Would we still be able to access early morning if we are off site Saturday? (not that it is a huge deal to us if we can't - we have Wed & Thurs still)...

You can't use your early entry from your hotel stay if you have checked out but you can use your Magic Morning if you have a 3 day ticket purchased online or in the app.

How long are you staying at BW Pavillion? We’ve done split stays and if you’re able to switch so DLH is your last place, I highly recommend it. Always best to stay at the nicer place for the second half of the trip IMO. Or if it’s just one night at BW, may be worth it to stay at DLH to avoid the hassle of moving and expensive of transportation

Unfortunately there is no space left at the inn lol - we are in a standard at DLH, and I don't think there is availability at all for the weekend. I looked a while ago and nothing.

We are only there for two nights. The plan was to Disney it up for 3 days (Wed-Fri), move off-site (first plan was a Hollywood hotel and then we discovered Anaheim Tours and so to avoid crazy Friday traffic opted to stay in Anaheim) and do the LA/Hollywood thing for Saturday, and then first thing Sunday morning we head up the coast for a week.

Ideally staying at DLH for the extra two nights would be easiest and fantastic, but the lowest available is Premium rooms for $600/night which is insane to add at this stage.

Yes it's feasible. As mentioned if you have Magic Morning on your tickets, you can save it for Saturday. IF you use Extra Magic Hour Thursday at DL, be sure to tell the gate CM you are using your hotel key and not your Magic Morning. Then Saturday bring your hotel keys (which have dates printed on them) in case of any confusion.

Keep in mind: you may be worn out after a long Friday. Saturday is a busy Magic Morning at DL and you need to be at gate early. You may want to just start the morning at DCA.

Since you are doing the tour, is the rental car needed? Not sure if you are coming from LAX or what. That's a lot of expense especially having it sit at DLH unused. If you have rolling luggage, the walk to BW is not terrible and I've cut through the large parking lot (diagonal) a few times (others have reported it's frowned upon). Or worse case Uber/Lyft from DLH would be just a few bucks.

So here's the story. Flying into SNA. Original plan was to Lyft to DLH, enjoy Disneyland, Lyft with our luggage over to BW on Friday afternoon and walk back for an evening of fireworks. Then do our HOllywood tour Saturday, and Lyft to LAX Sunday morning to pick up a rental car. (which I was dreading) We are driving the coast and turning the car in at San Francisco, so the only option was an airport pickup for a convertible. It's our 25th anniversary, and the convertible for the coast is DH's only request.

Just for kicks, I input the dates of picking up at SNA when we land, and it increased the rental cost by $15 for those 4 extra days. That's it! And yes, we now have to pay $75 to Disney to park, but no more Lyft rides anywhere, so it balances out. And then Sunday we can just get up and head out, no need to travel to pick up a car first. Win win!!

Thanks for the tips!
