In 14 days, I will be at WDW for 13 glorious days and doing a split stay between AKV and BCV. For those of you that have done split stays, is my plan okay on moving day:

9am: Call bell services to move luggage and owners locker to BCV
10am: Take bus to EPCOT and walk to BCV and check in.

Eventually walk to Hollywood Studios, dinner at Brown Derby at 4pm stay for Fantasmic. At closing, head back to BCV, get room key and then call bell services for luggage.

Does that plan work? Will it be too late for me to get my luggage from bell services at 11pm or should I go back after Brown Derby, get luggage and then head back in time for Fantasmic (seems like alot of work)?

Thanks for any suggestions

Mimmie :)

This will work provided you have either an Annual Pass or tickets with the Park Hopper option since you will be going to two parks in one day.

They will give you your key when you check in and then phone or text you with the room number so you will not need to go back to check in.

If you are not interested in doing things at Epcot I would be tempted to take the bus to Hollywood Studios and either walk or take the boat to BCV. You will avoid having to do bag check, the gate etc. The walk from DHS to BCV is very pleasant.

I do not think it is ever too late for Bell Service.

Another route to BCV may be to take the bus to AK, and then a bus directly to BCV. :thumbsup2
As was already posted, bell services will bring up your luggage whenever you call for it. Their only requirement is that someone be in the room to accept it. :goodvibes

We always drive to the next resort early. We often have gotten our next room right away.

We've done several split stays. Your plan sounds fine. :thumbsup2 Just one minor thing: If you are using DDP for just the second part of the split stay, just know that your meal credits will not be available until you check into the second resort.

We did this a couple weeks ago with our split stay, staying at OKW followed by AKL - Kidani. I thought the room card would remain the same, but they issued new cards because we had DDP just on the AKL stay. We had tried to use a CS credit at DHS prior to checking into Kidani but it didn't work. Of course, this issue may not apply in your case, just wanted to share our experience with this aspect of the split stay.

I might take a small bag with meds and swimming stuff with me in case I wanted a break in the afternoon. The Dunes Cove pool is great for relaxing.

I also second the DHS or AK route to get to BCV. It sounds like you won't have a car.

Thanks so much for all the repies. I knew that I would get a better answer to my day planning here.

Sounds like I will probably do the AKV to AK to BCV route. Sounds the easiest.

We don't have to worry about dining credits since I will be using the TIW card.

Now, I am just counting the days...

Thanks

Mimmie:)
