Split Stay - Luggage

Thinking about a split stay for our next trip. I will not have a car for the entire stay. Does Disney transport luggage between their resorts for guests staying onsite?

Yes, bell service does it. Don't forget to tip on both sides. Ask at the front destk they should be able to help you.

disney will take your lugguge from one hotel to another one. just remember you can not check into the 2nd hotel unless your lugguge is there. so drop off your lugguge to the lugguge desk early in the am so it will be at your 2nd hotel early. they are great about it will store your lugguge till you aea in a very clean safe area.

I've not seen that you can't check in before???? From everything I have read planning for our first split stay, you can check in and use resort pool, comm hall, etc., but your luggage and room may not be available until later in the day.

That is incorrect. You can check in whenever you want. We usually check in around 7 am when we have a split stay, go to a park, go back to the resort when we have been notified that our room is ready. Sometimes the luggage is there at that time, sometimes it's not. Sometimes we go to our room and rest until the bags come.

They only deliver luggage to the resorts in this process once per day from what I understand, so dropping it off at 7am vs 9am won't make any difference.

How would they even know if you had luggage? We always leave ours in our rental car until we check in.

Disney will definitely transport your luggage but it isn't always perfect. One year during a split stay between the GF and the Poly they never delivered our luggage. Finally one of the CMs at the Poly went over and picked it up for us.
