Split Stay Luggage ?s

For those who do split stays and do not rent a car, how do you get your luggage from your first place to your next destination? Can your second resort keep your bags at say the check-in desk until you are allowed to check in?

We're staying at the Hilton WDW for our first night and then transferring to SSR. We don't really want to pay for a cab to go just that short distance. Plus, we have this window of time in the middle of the day where we have to be out of our Hilton room and can't check into SSR (unless our room is ready early). Can you walk from the Hilton to DTD? We might just have to wheel around our suitcases as we explore DTD that afternoon.

I have read that the Hilton is walking distance from DTD...then you can walk or boat to SSR from DTD...although you may feel a little silly wheeling luggage along. It is my understanding that Disney buses won't let you board with luggage....probably the boats too.

However, considering that you are on a Disney vacation, will a short cab ride break the bank in the scheme of things?

Bell Services at SSR will hold your luggage for you until your room is ready.
