Split stay luggage questions

We’ll be doing a split stay, spending our first night at a value before moving to an MK resort.

1. We land pretty late the first night. Wondering if bell services at the first hotel will hold our luggage for the night (we’ll just bring up a backpack with what we need) so we don’t have to lug all of it up to the room? (We’ll be heading out to the parks early the next morning and won’t be coming back to that hotel.)
2. Any tips for packing for a split stay? 2 adults and a toddler. I’m going to try to stick to just a backpack for the first night, but then we have 2 nights at Contemporary followed by 5 days in a suite at AOA. I like to unpack everything as soon as I get to a hotel room and get settled, so this is all new to me! Thought of packing a suitcase for each leg but that might take up too much space...
Thanks for any tips!

1. Yes. Just reconfirm - talk to bell services then call from the room.
2. Ubiquitous air travel tip: pack your carry on with everything you need for the first 24 hours at your destination.

Here's what we do
We bring everything we need for the first night in our carry on (good plans no matter what)
We never even touch our checked bags. We have Bell Services hold them for the next day, informing them we are moving that morning so no need to deliver them at all. They've never tried but if you are really worried about being disturbed put the Room Occupied sign out. They are not supposed to even knock if that's out. If you've arrived after 10:00 or otherwise gotten your own bags just drop them at Bell Services with a note till hold till morning (for moving) They are very accustomed to this.
Next morning, we send our carry on bags to Bell Services and give them all the info needed to them move it all to our next resort.
We head out to the parks for the day, never making plans to return to the next resort till after 4:00 or 5:00. When we leave the park that day, we head out to the new resort.
We never unpack, even if we are in 1 room for 10 days. In your case, if you really need to, then try packing cubes, using a different cube for each resort. Heck, make them different colors if you need to.
Or, pack your suitcase for Resort 1 and DH's for Resort 2. That way, you only need to get in 1 suitcase
