So I'm a new DVC member with Riviera, and very excited to be part of the family! I did sign up back in late 2019, but backed out during the recision period due to a big financial commitment arising right after signing on the dotted line. Turns out that was a good choice, and we are now in a much better financial situation. So now I'm excited to make use of my newly acquired 200 point contract!

So one of our stays this year is going to be an interesting one, and not at a time we typically go. We have some friends who haven't been to WDW with their kids that want to go with us at the end of September / Early October. Our use year is October.

Right now I have the following booked
Sept 27-30 - Riviera 2 bedroom lock-off standard view
Sept 30-Oct 1 - Riviera 2 bedroom standard view
Oct 1- Oct 2 - Riviera 2 bedroom standard view

Is there any way member services can just stitch these together with some pixie dust and make us not change rooms? Or should I just keep refreshing and hoping I can get all one room type. I know I have to split at least the Sep 27-Oct 1 portion of the trip from Oct 1-2 as it crosses a use year. I have read elsewhere that I can get member services to link those two together already.

They cannot merge the lockoff with a regular 2BR villa. You will have to move. However, since the 9/30-10/1 and 10/1-10/2 are the same room type and were booked with the same membership, MS can merge those into one reservation even though they cross your UY.

When you call to merge your last 2 legs, check with MS which points are used for the reservations, if you didn't bank those last 19 points from the previous year MS won't assume you want to use them, and they'll expire Sept 30th.

Unfortunately they can not keep you in the same room when you have a different category booked.

The lock off is actually a studio and a 1 bedroom so that could be why it was available when the 2 bedroom was not. Each of those rooms was open.

I would just keep stalking and waitlist the 27th to the 30th. What I might do is even waitlist just the 29th its own if you have the points to book it without changing the 27th to 30th.

This way, you could work backwards to eventually get all the nights you need.

For example, waitlist the 27th to the 30th to replace what you have…but also waitlist the 29th on its own to book….if that fills, you then modify the lock off to the 27th to the 29th, and then waitlist the 28th…and modify the other waitlist to be just the 27th to the 29th.

That strategy of picking up one night at a time and adjusting only works I’d you have the extra points to do it.

Once you got them all. MS can then merge together.

Thanks, yes I'm going to just keep checking and refreshing. And I actually am trying to use points from two different use years. Having a standard view for this trip gives me enough leftover for a 3 night June at SSV this year.
