Split stay and picking up tickets early

I'll be arriving a day before my daughter and grand daughter arrive - and all 3 of us have a 5 day ticket with the meal plan and are staying at ASMO. I've also got a separate reservation for my first night at ASMO.

Am I able to get my ticket early, use 1 day for a little solo touring before they arrive and simply add an additional day to my 5 day ticket?

I'm not sure about MYW packages but it's a definite no for UK packages. I would give them a call as policies change all the time

Yes. Activate the ticket portion of your package when you arrive. Anyone with a package can activate their tickets up to 10 days before their package date.

I went in august for a split stay, the 15-20 at cbr and then the 20-30 at por. por was a free dining package, so my tickets were attached to it. i was able to use our tickets the entire stay, including the 5 days before our package started. i always read that you could use your tickets 3 days before your package started. however the cms assured me i would be able to use them up to 10 days in advance on the phone prior to the trip. and sure enough i was able to use them on the 16th when we had our first park day. 4 days prior to our package starting. hope that helps.

It switched to 10 days last fall, I believe.

But 10 day tickets from a package still expire 14 days from day of first use. Is that correct? Or has that changed?

There is still the "tickets expire 14 days from first use" rule in effect for all MYW tickets.
(UK tickets can have different rules.)

Can someone please verify that this info is still correct? We have a package with tickets and dining that starts on December 10, but we have a room only reservation for Saturday, December 9. I just want to make sure that will be able to use our park tickets on our arrival day. Thank you
