split stay and package question

So I'm pricing different options for our next trip and want to do a split stay. Hubby wants to get dining plan, so we would need to do a package. When I price the separate resorts, the cost of the tickets is high, because I'm pricing 3 days at two different resorts. If we stayed at one resort, with tickets for 6 days, the price decreases substantially. Is there a way to book a split stay package and bring the ticket prices down, since they are priced based on number of days you have?

I know in the "old" days you could book a longer span of tickets than you had nights. Like booking a 6 day ticket at your first resort. Check the ticket sticky on the theme parks board to double check though.

ETA: Or you can call in and book a ticketless package to get dining, and buy the tickets separately.

Book your first package as room/length-of-entire-stay tickets/dining. Then call in and book your second package as a "ticketless package" which is room and dining only - you can only book this package over the phone. This will eliminate the need to purchase two sets of tickets.
