Split Stay and Dining Credits

We're doing a split stay with the first half as a package with free dining and the second half room only. I know any unused dining credits will be good until midnight on my first check out day, but will checking in at our 2nd resort have any effect on them? We plan on doing online check in and will probably go to DS for lunch to use up the last credits on that day we're changing resorts. I've done a split stay and the DDP before, but never on the same trip.

We did this in February. We had the dining plan with our first stay at VGF, still had credits left on check-out day, checked in at BWV shortly thereafter and used our remaining credits later that day.
