After much deliberation i've decided to split my 2 week stay into 7 days at the boardwalk for sure and the other seven at either AKL or Poly. Right now i'm unsure of which. What are your opinions?
As well as does anyone know how much internet connection costs? For some reason all my b/f cares about atm about this trip is: 1) Is there internet and 2) are the beds comfy :cool1: i shall make him a disney fan yet!!!

We really found the Savannah view at AKL to be very Magical. Enough that we are booked there a second time. The themeing is so immersive, it just whisks you away to Africe as soon as you enter the lobby. However, I didn't find the beds that comfy at all. We had come from a previous week at the Dolphin with the Heavenly Beds tho & were very spoiled.

I don't recall the beds at Poly being that hard. The Poly didn't live up to my expectations tho. I don't know if I went in expecting too much tho? I had dreamed of staying there since I went to WDW as a child & had very high hopes. I think after the renovation, we will try it again tho. Much of our letdown had to do with room conditions. The transportation options CAN'T be beat tho. It is soooo convienent. And watching the fireworks from the Volcano pool is really incredible.

You couldn't go wrong with either choice.

Get a Savannah view room - it's worth every penny extra in our opinion. We spent HOURS on the balcony watching the animals. A female giraffe was in heat which made for some interesting interaction (no, the males & females were seperated, it wasn't THAT interesting) and the Red River Hogs were so funny. We're going back just for the view.

I have stayed at both and enjoy the AKL, but my favorite is the Poly. Can't beat the location....easy access to MK by several means and also to Epcot. From AKL it's buses to everything, although you don't share a bus so that is a plus. The Poly buses are shared, so that always makes for a longer trip. But, AKL is farther away from everything other than AK, so who knows?
Can't go wrong with either one - but get the Savannah view if you go with AKL...that's a "for sure".

I will definatly get the savannah room, i'm also thinking of perhaps splurging and getting just the dining plan for boardwalk but go on the concierge level. While doing the premium with akl. I can hardly wait to go...long time though. ;_; november 2006.
