Doing a split reservation on an extended weekend stay. Staying 1 night at Grand Floridian or Contemporary (still debating), and the rest at Boardwalk Inn, but that has me wondering about the luggage and parking. Would I be best to just worry about my own luggage, and moving my car to a park between the 2 resorts?

Not sure about your car but I have moved a couple of times and they will pick up your luggage & other stuff like a case of water in your room and take to your new resort. They put it in our new room. We just went to bell services the day we were switching and gave them info and a tip and they took care of it. We didn't have a car it may just be more convenient for you to take it yourself than you will have your stuff right away.

You have many options on moving your car:
1. Drive to a park after checking out of the first hotel and then drive to your second hotel when you are done at the first park.
2. Before going to a park, ddrive from your first hotel to the second hotel and check in, then leave your car there. You can check in very early, like 6:30-7:00 am. Your room may not be ready, but you would get your resort parking pass and then when your room is ready, they will text you the room #.
3. Leave your car at the first resort until you are done at the park that day and then pick up your car and drive to your second resort. (If staying at GF or CR, then this would only be a good idea if your visiting MK that day or eating at that resort later in the day. The other parks would just be out of the way for going back for the car.)

As for luggage, I am not 100% on this as I have only done a split stay once at WDW and I only had a small bag for the first night. I just took that bag with me as I was driving over to leave my car at the necpxt resort. I do know that if I was planning to be gone at the park all day and not need anything, I would let WDW move the luggage. If I thought I might need anything at some point in the day, I would move myself. I have heard that the luggage move could take hours.

My family will be doing a three split stay in oct. AoA(1night)-okw(6nights)-Allstar sports(2nights) we are going to have disney transfer our luggage. We do not have the car issue we r flying this year. If you like to get to the parks early You can just take the car to the park do the online checkin and finish checking in after Your done at he park. If you don't care about getting to the park early you could transfer your car and maybe luggage over to the hotel before and checkin so you can just come back after the parks and go straitened to the room. It's all about what your more constable with.
