I am spending 2 full days at magic kingdom. How should I divide it up, with main street, fantasyland, adventureland, frontierland, liberty square, and tomorrowland? Both days are opened from 9:00am-10:00pm (No Extra Magic Hours). I have a 7:30pm dinner ADR at CRT the first day, and CP the second day. How should I work the 2 parades, and wishes to? I am not taking a break in afternoon. I am staying in the park. How do you usually split MK up in to 2 days? I am having a hard time doing this.

Yeah I had the same issue at first.... Then the plan I came up with had us sort sight seeing and doing autographs the first day then riding what rides we wanted the 2nd day...... That lasted all of 30 min!! ;) Ahead of time we put down everything we wanted to do from most to least so that way we would get our "must dos" for sure then work our way down..... I'd say this work really well so that way didn't really follow a plan, just enjoyed what we were doing and rode what we could when we came to it..... We managed to get everything done on our list and then some!!

Did we get to see the whole park.... NOPE but thanks to all the reading we did before, we knew that wasn't going to happen anyway. So I wouldn't worry about doing everything, just make a plan with your "must dos" at the top of the list so you can be sure to hit them, then work your way down....

Our family rides! If you really do get there at rope drop, you shouldn't have a problem. If we want to do almost everything in mk we start in tomorrowland. Do AstroOrbiter first. Then fp Space Mt. Then ride everything else you want to in Tomorrowland (we don't do the cars but they should be 2nd) skipping CoP and Laugh Floor.

Then use your Space FP.

Then go get PP FP. Do everything in old Fantasyland. Using PP FP when it comes up, but skipping Philharmagic. Grab Splash FP. Then eat lunch. Ride HM.

Then grab BTMRR FP and ride Splash. Then ride Pirates & do Tiki Birds. Jungle Cruise if line is under 20 min. If your BTMRR FP is up, ride. If not, do Pirate tutorial, meet characters, get a Dole Whip, etc. then ride.

Then go back and do the shows you skipped. Laugh Floor, CoP, Philharmagic. Enjoy exploring Majn St.

Then go get Goofini FP and ride dumbo.

Get FP to something you want to ride again. Eat dinner. Ride more. Parade. Fireworks.

Then on day two start with Belle & Ariel. Then do all the stuff you missed or want to do over, but make characters a priority. Watch the afternoon parade. Ride rides during the evening shows.

That would be my plan. If FP is still available.

Make sure you are there at rope drop and toward the front.

It depends on what is important to those in your party and the ages of children. Assuming you want to ride as much as possible and you do not care as much about character interaction, I would start one day in Tomorrowland and one in Frontierland. Ride the biggest attractions early or get fast passes. Then head to traditional long waits in Fantasyland. Leave less busy and attractions that are shows or that load quickly to the busy mid- day time. Get a good parade spot on Mainstreet by about 2:15. We usually get drinks and snacks and relax while saving a great spot. Pick a spot for Wishes that allows you to see the castle but that does not put you too far into the hub. It is crazy getting out of there and you will be tired if you do not take an afternoon break.

If you have young kids who want to do Storytime with Belle....put this one as your first stop after obtaining fast passes for Space Mountain. It has really long waits rights now.

Some crisscrossing to get things done will make your wait times much less. I used the unofficial guide plans when I used to want to see and do everything and they worked very very well. We have been so many times now that we do not use the plans much anymore. We know what we like and skip what we do not. But we generally use the main advice....rope drop, use FP, cross the park a few times to get to the busiest things early.

No doubt, once the roller coaster is open, MK is going to be a 2 maybe 3 - half days park for us.

We usually begin and end our vacay with the MK, so the first day we have a character breakfast at either Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace, then we head to do character meet and greets in FL. Sometimes DH will go grab a few FPs while I'm in line with the kids, but we have a pretty loose touring plan. We try to ride whatever is walk on or less than a 10 minute wait, then grab FPs for nearby rides that have them available. We have never had a problem riding all we wanted to ride by spending 2 full days in the MK. Last time our DD had a BBB appointment during the afternoon parade, but that was not a problem as we had an early dinner ADR and ended up watching the fireworks that night. We did the parade on our last day. Since meeting characters was high on our list of must dos, we did those first and let the rest of our day fall into place after that. We mainly do CS lunches or snacks since we have a big breakfast so don't necessarily have to plan our mid day around ADRs. Sometimes but not always.

Make a list of your must dos and do them first, then try to go with the flow as much as possible. Either way, you'll have a magical time. You'll be in WDW afterall!:woohoo:

I say go the first day and hit the rides/attractions that you want to do. The next day, do, what you weren't able to do the first day. It might not easily break down by lands.

Here is how we usually break MK into 2 days:

Day 1:

Arrive at park 30 mins before rope drop. At opening, walk briskly to Fantasyland. Experience slow loading and popular attractions (Belle, Little Mermaid, Pooh), then get FP for Peter Pan. Do other FL attractions and ride Peter Pan when FP window comes up.

Head to Liberty Square and experience attractions there. Eat lunch before noon (we do QS at a FL or LSq location). Head to Frontierland- get FP for either BTMRR or Splash, whichever has a longer standby line. Experience other Frontierland attractions. While in this area, watch the 3pm parade. Ride FP attraction. Head on over to Main Street and shop, see characters, etc.

Eat dinner. Go back to Fantasyland, Lib Sq, and Frontierland to re-do favorites. If evening parade is running, see it from Frontierland or Liberty Sq area. Then head back to Main Street to watch Wishes. Our favorite spot is in the street near Caseys/Plaza Ice Cream Shop. 2nd choice is on Tomorrowland bridge to get a great view of Tink's flight.

Day 2:

Arrive at park 30 mins before rope drop. At opening, walk through the "hidden tunnel" by Tomorrowland Terrace to get to Tomorrowland. Ride Buzz at least 2 times with no wait. Get to Space Mtn for FPs, then ride Astro Orbiters. Experience other Tomorrowland attractions, then ride Space when FP time comes up. Eat lunch before noon- we usually go to Cosmic Ray's.

Finish up Tomorrowland, then head for Adventureland. Get FP for Jungle Cruise (if line longer than 20 mins or so) then experience Adventureland attractons. Be sure to have a Dole Whip-YUM!! You will have a good amount of time left after experiencing these 2 lands, so you can go back to attractions you want to do again in other lands. Slow down and enjoy the MK- notice details. Do more character greetings, see some shows you missed the other day.

Eat dinner. After dark, try to do some things that are great at night- BTMRR, Astro Orbiter, Dumbo, Tea Party, Speedway. Experience Wishes again, or just stroll and do what you want. Or even head back to the resort for an early night.

MomofKatie, can you tell me more about the hidden tunnel to Tomorrowland? Thanks

Not really "hidden", lol, but not many use it.

Turn right at the corner at Plaza Ice Cream Shop on Main Street USA. Go into the covered area- Tomorrowland Terrace restaurant is on the right (very rarely open Quick Serve location) and a lot of covered seating is on the left. Keep going all the way through and you will come out in Tomorrowland, beating most of the crowds.

This is the way we go to get to Tomorrowland when we want to get there at rope drop.

We always break MK into 2 days cause I don't feel that it is a park that can be done in 1. We don't have specific plans with FP's and stuff. We always do CP for breakfast so depending what day that is on depends on what we do. We pretty much divide the park in half. Generally by doing this we are able to ride some of the ride's more then once.

We do at least two MK days - we never split it though. We do our favorites, then tackle some of the less important but still fun tasks. The next day we do anything we want, since we took the pressure off the first day.

I would make a list of "absolutely must-dos" and hit them all on the first day. Then, I'd spend the second day more leisurely, checking out all the little things.
