Has anyone split their hotel stay to include 2 hotels? I've been seriously thinking of spending the last 2 days of our trip to PBH. My DH is a music buff and I believe the kids will love the HRH which we have booked for 7 nights at 135.00/night pool view Entertainment Rate. I could book PBH for 2 nights at 160.00/night which would only work out to 50.00 more for the week. I would love to experience that relaxing atmosphere everyone is talking about but I fear it will be too "dead" for the tastes of my kids and DH. Do they have any activities for the kids like they do at HRH? I'm really torn here......help me out!

We've done it at WDW and it wasn't bad. The worst thing is having to pack up. The baggage transfer is easy since the hotel does that (just have to pay extra bell tips) if you don't have a car. It's nice being able to experience more than one hotel.

We have also done it at WDW, but not US. It was kind of a pain, but fun to try out different resorts. I don't really feel the need to do it at US, I guess, since you do have such easy access to all hotels. It is especially easy to go from HRH to PBH, RPH is a bit farther away. We just returned from a trip to PBH, and spent one afternoon at HRH. It was a lot of fun! We swam and had lunch by the pool, then walked back to PBH later in the afternoon. If you really want to try out both resorts then go for it, but it might be nice to just go over to PBH for swimming, dinner, a quiet walk, etc. and not have to pack up and move. Whatever you decide, have a great trip!

We've stayed at 3 hotels at DW and had no problem. AS (New Years Eve) to AKL-Conci to Cabins. It was a breeze and the bellmen were very nice.

We are doing it again soon at Universal since PB is booked up toward the end of week. We are moving to RP and Loews assured us it would also be a breeze!

We split a stay between HRH and PBR we did it the same way you are thinking of doing. HRH first and ending at PBR. In our case we had stayed at PBR the trip before and decided to give HRH a try. HRH was great but my family are Portofino lovers first and above all. So we took a walk over and booked the next 3 nights ending our trip at PBR. I know many people prefer the HRH's atmosphere, but for us we get that at the parks and its so wonderful to have the change of scenery once we arrive back to the Portofino from the parks. The move was easy and we were able to move over early in the morning and have our day uninterrupted. My boys are 9 and 5 and they have never been bored. The pool area's are great! There is also a gameroom that I recently heard has been re-done. A kids camp with many activities. Lots more eating choices. Have fun where ever you end up!:)
