Split entrees???

We are on the dining plan and I know you cannot split the buffets, but at any of the table service can we split an entree?, My daughter and I are not big eaters, and it would make sense to split an entree, use one TS credit and also maybe order an appetizer ( and pay out of pocket for that) and split that also. That would save us another table service for later use?

Everyone on the DDP has to use their credit. It sounds like you're not a good candidate for DDP at all - you're buying something you won't get good use out of. If it's free dining you have, you'd probably do better with a room-only discount and paying for restaurants OOP.

Not entirely so. Most reports are that it is allowed at every a la carte restaurant except Beaches & Cream. However I'd imagine that this is entirely up to the restaurant and could be changed at any time.

My husband and I have shared a meal at both Kona and Prime Time while on the dining plan.

This is a great way to save up credits to be able to eat at a two credit Signature Restaurant and not have to skip a meal or pay for one to make up for it.

As Nala said, most places let you share. I would ask before ordering though, just to make sure. But I really don't think you will have issues.

I told them up front that DD and I would be splitting (except buffets, family style, and dinner shows, of course!). We didn't need that much food. EVERY restaurant accomodated and we still had food left over in the end. I would have walked out if they said no. And it isn't true that each person dining has to use a credit. Each person does need to be on the plan. We did end up paying for the 5th drink out of pocket except a couple times that the cm waived the charge or that I really didn't want anything but water.

But we didn't eat at any signature restaurants. So they may be different...
