Hi,
I am going to be booking 2 weeks in 2bdrm villas in the summer of 2010, probably June or July. I would like to split the stay between three resorts just to have a bit of variety. The question I have is, can the dining plan be made into one 14 day linked piece. I ask this due to fact that some days I will not be using table service meals, and on some days I would be using 2 per person for special events, dining at cinderellas casle illuminations, saffari, etc. So if they cut the dining packages into three separate pieces this would make things difficult if not impossible due to the fact if you don't use them before you check out they are gone.

Michael is correct.

You will have to plan your meals such that the credits for each reservation are used before midnight of the check out day for that reservation.

Wow! Thanks for the quick reply! Not the news I wanted to hear though. Maybe I will have to rethink splitting the stay.
Assuming 3 resorts and 3 reservations, you'd have 3 separate DDP sets and the credits for each would have to be used from check in for that reservation to MN of the last day. You can go and check in as early as around 6 am if you wanted/needed. With minimal planning, it's really not that much of an issue. You may actually be able to use it to your advantage in that you could get the DDP for part, but not all, of the reservations.

Not only do the credits expire until midnight of your check-out day but if you have an even number of credits left & it happens to be the day of a 2 TS dinner you can use both cards to pay for the meal. I've done it several times.

We plan on using the dining plan every day except days we are not in park, the fact that we dont have rollover credits just makes it less flexible. For instance if we go to seaworld for a day and didn't use any credits, or just used the quick service on one day and saved the table service to double up for a special meal later, then we have to us the the 2 table service meal credits with in a few days of that etc etc.

I understand the minor inflexibility that this system adds to your situation but I still feel it is very minor and could present opportunities. Say you didn't get the DDP for one segment and did more of your off site options during that time. Also, consider what time you're arriving and departing the area. As a rule, the DDP is a better value for days you're able to use it from breakfast day 1 until dinner or after the last day. Another option is to time signature and cheaper restaurants to the time you might not have the plan giving you the best of both world's potentially. Also, studies I've seen in the past suggest that guests slow down on All Inclusive type plans after a few days.

The slowing down part is usually true. In my famlies case though we will be on vacation for 2 weeks so we intend to take things slow and use the meals as a way to make sure we are all together more often. We have 7 children ages 3 to 23 so its important to make sure evrybody spends time with each other.
