Splish Splash: Worth going? Any discounts?

We are in the NYC area and are thinking about making a daytrip out east. Has anybody been to this park? (on eastern Long Island)

Are there any ways to get discounted tickets? Prices seem kind of high.

Anywhere that you would suggest going instead? We have a 5yo DS and a 16 month old DD.

I have been to splish splash numerous times, just not with Children that small. I do know they have a kiddie area but there is not much their for the kids. What about seaseme place for the day, girls from a local new york board that I go on rave about seaseme place for kids of all ages and most of them do it as a day trip from Long Island.

my teens have been going to splish splash for years and love it, but I have to agree...sesame place in bucks county, PA might be a better choice for your family.

We have been going to splish splash since my daughter was 2. They have the kiddie section for little ones but once my daughter was 5 she didn't want anything to do with the kiddie sectio nanymore, she went on the bigger rides with me. We have been to Sesame place a few times and I am very unimpressed with it.
Splish Splash has discount coupons at PC Rishards and Wendys. If you are a memeber of AAA you can get cheaper tickets through them too.
