Is the drop at the end the same distance on both? I am kind of a wimp when it comes to drops.....

They are totally different rides - different cars, different tracks. (The track at DL was completely ripped out and rebuilt ten years ago.) I'm not sure which one you usually ride, but the DL version is significantly smoother and a much better coaster. The Florida ride is very jerky and bumpy.

Splash, not Space. :thumbsup2

Beyond the difference in ride seating configuration, the feel of the ride is the same. Without looking it up, I'd say the drop is the same or only minimally different as you truly can't feel a difference in the drop.

My DD loves Splash at DL, but absolutely hates it at WDW. At DL the ride cars are single file people straddling the middle bench. At WDW it is a row of seats across. I don't think the drops are different at all, but for some reason she feels much more secure in the smaller single file Disneyland log.

The drop felt exactly the same to me. Beyond the drop, my husband and I disagree on which ride is better. He prefers Disneyland and insists that all log flume rides should be single file. I really don't care either way, but felt that the Disneyland ride had a darker feel to the ride, had a bit more empty space where there was little to no story being told, and the seat hurt my lower back. Of course, none of my complaints kept me from riding it multiple times so there's that...:lmao:

But yeah, I felt no difference at all in the drops and can't find anything online that says they are different.

The drop at Disneyland is definitely steeper, or taller. Or both. The drop at the MK seems milder to me. And the dark ride portion seems a little longer at MK. Both versions are great rides, love 'em.

I have to agree with you there. We rode the DL version for the first time this past June and loved every minute of it. It was much smoother then it's WDW counterpart. My DH compared the two by saying that the DL version is more like a log flume ride because it is much quicker and you get a lot wetter, whereas the WDW version is a slow ride, you do get wet, but not drenched like we did in DL.

I didn't catch that when I read the PP's post, however I do still feel that the ride was much smoother then the WDW one and a lot faster. We really like both rides. As for the drop at the end, I really am not sure if there is a significant difference between the two.
