Splash Mountain Mechanical Problems

Just watching a Mickey Blog video and in the video he said something happened on splash
Cast members all said it was a “ mechanical problem” people escorted out
Anyone know anything????

Probably literally a mechanical problem. Most rides stoppages are not salacious goings-on.

Ride evacuations happen rather frequently, nothing to be concerned about most likely

It happens. I was on EE one time at the top of the backwards ramp when we e-stopped. We ended up being evacuated off the ride thru the mountain. That was pretty cool. It was restarted about an hour later.

My 6-yo daughter calls Splash Mountain (the one in DL), "the ride that breaks down a lot". We've been evacuated off the ride and have left the line multiple times because of extended breakdowns. It would be nice if the ride was more reliable but it's nothing to be concerned about.

I'd wager to guess it is usually due to guest stupidity, not an actual breakdown.

It stopped for quite a while when I was on it last year. Was hoping for an escorting out and down the steps at the back (see Youtube) but alas it got going again.

I was a CP at Splash many many years ago (pre lap bars) and it stopped pretty regularly. Usually nothing caused by anyone and would just kind of happen. From time to time a sensor would be tripped due to someone waving something in the air or touching something outside of the boat they shouldn't. Usually we'd just send someone running to make sure everything was okay and then start it back up again but sometimes the ride would choose to be a little finicky and not want to start and we would end up needing to evac the ride.
