Splash Mountain--how tall?

How tall do you need to be to ride this. I have heard different height requirements. Our son is 42 inches.

I thought you were going to ask how tall the drop is -- just in case you also wanted to know that: 52.5 feet, you hit bottom at ~40 mph.
