Plus after the drop you still have a bit more of the ride to see
The final plunge of Splash is about a 45 degree angle. It is 52 1/2 feet long (when the attraction opened, it was the longest flume chute in the world). Guests descend at a speed of approximately 40 miles per hour, faster than the rockets at Space Mountain.I know there's a drop at the end of Splash Mountain which I'm really worried about.. I'm TERRIFIED of heights! Does anyone know how tall the drop is and at what angle? Should I really be worried about the drop? Thanks soo much!

When I ride Soarin in Epcot, I close my eyes at the start, but I also like the ride. No way, however, could anyone pay me to ride the Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios.
I don't like roller coasters at all. But my dh told me all about how cute/themed the ride is and being the Disney lover that I am, I knew I had to do it!
I am now happy to say that after stressing about doing it
It is my favorite ride!
I also then got up my nerve to try Space Mtn and didn't like it at all!
But, I can at least say that I have now ridden every ride in the MK!

You'll be ok, really. I wouldn't lie.
