there is no spash mountain..there is a big thunder mountain :)

Wish there was a Splash Mountain, I've been on the one in WDW and it's fantastic!

Sadly Paris just doesn't have the climate for a Splash Mountain. :cold:

We could call it ice mountain in the winter time

We were at DLP a couple of times when it snowed. Riding Big Thunder Mountain in the snow sure seemed like an ice mountain.

In Tokyo Disneyland they have a Splash Mountain. When I was in Tokyo Disneyland last year in February it was probably 6 or 7 degrees Celcius (this was the normal temperature for February) and I had to skip Splash Mountain because I did not want to wait 60 minutes for this ride. I have even seen pictures on the internet of a snowy Splash Mountain in action. So I wonder if the reason DLP does not have Splash Mountain is purely weather related. :confused3

Alton towers has a couple of water rides, Parc Asterix (also in Paris) has many many water rides. The weather isn't the problem. I thought I read a rumour on here that they were going to build a splash mountain in 2009ish. Maybe I imagined it?

man - i love splash mountain.

i really wish that DLP would have this ride.

Couldn't they just close it down in the winter periods?

i wish they had a splash mountain too, would be so good in the summer months! :sunny:

Def' no Splash but it would be great in summer, I am sure they could lesson the water power in winter :confused3

Just for info, the BTMRR is far better at DLRP than WDW :teeth:

Many European theme parks have water rides, but most of those parks are not open during the winter time.

As much as I love Splash Mountain, it would be sad to have it built at DLP and it can only be used during the summer time. I'd rather have another ride that can be used whole year long (especially since I usually go during winter time!)
Every time I go during the winter, it freezes. This causes a ride like Pays des comtes de fées to close, because the water just freezes.

The rides at Alton Towers aren't open in the winter. Though, judging from Tokyo Disneyland, the climate isn't the reason why they haven't built a Splash Mountain at DLP - I, personally, wouldn''t fancy riding it when the weather is freezing!!

Splash is one of the rides rumoured to be built next, Soarin' is another one. Any of the E ticket rides would be very welcome!!
