Splash Mountain closing on May 6th or maybe not?

That really sucks. We go in late May and was really hoping for a chance to ride SM one last time. Haven’t been to DL in years and this is our kids first time going so was hoping they’d get to experience it as well. Bummed we’ll be missing out on it by just a few weeks.

is the redo going to take over a year? Why would you close a popular water ride right before summer? You need that line to eat up park capacity.

Also I’m going to say this til I’m blue in the face. Splash Mountain is a classic and shouldn’t be changed. I’m sure Tiana will be well done but it should really be a new ride.

That’s a shame, I will miss it by just a few weeks. But I knew there was a big chance of this happening.
I just hope this doesn’t mean they will shut down the Disneyland Railroad as well… it passes through Splash Mountain, doesn’t it?

I just went to the website. It does not say that. May 7 is listed open.
Did they change it? I don’t see it listed on May 6th or 7th?
it is listed as open
Go to the attraction listing. Select the May dates! It is open. The article is wrong.
It says the refresh is opening in late 2024.

I hope it’s wrong! We go in June. Wanted to ride one last time….

I don't think they'll shut down the railroad. They will probably just erect walls to block that portion as you were above the attraction during the riverboat scene.

What they probably will do is put up wood to block seeing the construction (where the train can see the steamboat scene).
