I know my kids will want pizza one day and wanted to get some opinions on which place to reserve. Spitsville or Naples? Personally I am leaning towards Spitsville as they have a larger menu for those that will not want pizza. However being from the NYC area which has the better pizza?

I'm a pizza fanatic, and sadly none of the pizzas within the DLR area have wowed me. I've had Naples and it was OK, my major gripe was the wait. It took forever for them to get our food -- it may have been an off day though. I haven't been to Splitsville, but have heard some not so great things about their food. People say its way overpriced, but you are right that they have a better variety of foods if that is a key factor.

Another option may be the quick service White Water Snacks in the GCH. They just added larger artisinal pizzas to their menu that look pretty decent. The pizzas are also offered at Storyteller's (also at GCH) for lunch and dinner, which is a sit down restaurant. At dinner they also have a buffet option if that appeals to some in your party, but you can still order regular items off the menu too. (ETA: If you see pictures of Storytellers with the characters, please note that they only come out for the character breakfast. They are not present for lunch and dinner).

I've heard that Marri's pizza is a good option for hotel delivery. I personally haven't tried this, but have heard many good reviews here on the disboards.

Personally, if I was going to go to downtown Disney, I would just keep going to Katella and go to Merri's. There pizza if so good. They also have a full menu of other items.

I actually like Naples. I haven't been to Splitsville so I can't comment on that but we have had good pizza and service at Naples quite a few times. Naples also has other Italian food that's not just pizza like pasta etc. We've had the Caesar salad and also the Panzerotti. Yummy!!

PANZEROTTI
Fried pizza dough filled with fresh mozzarella, artisan ricotta, Parmesan, marinara

Marri's pizza tastes good but one bite and all the toppings and cheese come with that bite which I'm not a fan of. At least this was my experience.

I don't think I want to eat anywhere called Spitsville! ;)

In all seriousness, I don't have experience at either place, but I've always heard that the food at Splitsville is surprisingly good. I mean, one wouldn't expect it from a bowling alley (well, except fora bowling alley grilled cheese which is always great!). Of course, also in my experience, pizza on Disney properties is a dicey proposition. It's better at DLR than at WDW though.

Naples is an excellent choice for a walk up, quick slice of pizza. I love stopping by there and walking around DTD and listen to the music.

Oh it's gonna be Spitzville from now on for my family - we won't be able to refer to it by any other name - too good!
