we were very disappointed in the food--think undercooked chicken--and the show was not traditional luau entertainment.

OMG I loved it! We did it the 1st night we arrived and it set an awesome tone for the trip. This was our 1st ever trip to WDW and DS12 and I agreed we will DEFINITELY do this again. Show was entertaining, upbeat, and I thought the food was fantastic. The salad was amazing (mandarin oranges, almonds, nice fresh greens) and came with pineapple bread. The meal was excellent - everything cooked perfectly and a nice variety - as was the lava cake (chocolate with raspberry sauce!) at the end. My only complaint would be TOO MUCH FOOD. (-: They take your picture before you go in and then find you at your table to sell it to you whcih was a little cheesy (but it worked - I bought it )

I would recommend spending the extra $$ to get seats in Category 1 - they are the best in the house and you feel like you're part of the show.

I've never been to an authentic show so can't speak to that...but we loved it!!
