Spirit of Aloha Dining Show

I am just trying to understand the Spirit of Aloha Dining Show. It says they take 2 dining credits, but require prepayment. So Im curious how this works.

I think they just take your credit card to hold until u actually go and use your dining plan credits but i'm not positive. For some of the dinner shows what I think is probably smarter is to just pay out of pocket and skip the 2 table service credit business and use those elsewhere. Plus this way u get to choose any section of seating (if this show is the same as the hoop dee doo where u are only allowed in the not the best seating w/ a dining plan ressie)

Yeah I was thinking about that.
Also, I thought I had read you get 20-30% off having the dining plan. But maybe I was wrong was this if you had the Dining experience? Im a little confused.
