Spirit of Aloha: 5 or 8pm?

I am planning on doing Spirit for our last night (Nov 2). I thought that I read that if we do the 8pm sitting, we would be able to walk right out to the beach for view the fireworks. However, when I called to make reservations today, the CM thought that we would miss the fireworks ("they might be at 8 or 9 at that time of year") if we took the late sitting. So I come to the DIS for the REAL story!! What would you recommend...the 5 or 8pm sitting? It will be for DH and I, DD7, DS4 and MIL, FIL. TIA!

The parks do close earlier in the fall months. Don't forget it does get darker earlier. I would pick the 5:00 show to make sure you do not miss the fireworks. We have the Spirit for Sept 2 and are anxious to see it.

I like seeing the Spirit of Aloha show when it's dark outside - It just feels more fun that way, so in the summertime we always choose the later show. In November, 5p might be okay.
