Has anyone done this? What was your experience?

We are planning a trip at the beginning of January and Spirit is showing me a fare of $155 r/t to Orlando! :cool1: Although I'd been hoping to go from Newark since we're in Northen NJ, even Jet Blue can't beat this fare. :sad1: We've never done Spirit before, though, so I'd be interested in hearing from people what the setup is like at LGA... we've flown Song out of LaGuardia before... and how the flight was.

We've flown both Spirit & Song out of LGA for the same reason as you; the prices are much cheaper than EWR. While I prefer Song, since Delta has its own terminal, Sprit was fine. You fly out of the main terminal, so you need to allow a little more time for security than Song.

The flight was fine, no problems at all; although, my DS, 8, does miss the TV's. If you have kids going too, I'd suggest bringing the Game Boys along to keep them occupied (it could be a long flight without Cartoon Network!)

It is kinda early , right now most of the airlines are are only running fare sales through early december. I know last year I flew song out of JFK and EWR. Song is pulling out of EWR in sep ( boo) but I ajm hoping for some Jet Blue sales in january ( some one has to give continental a little competition). May the pixie dust be with us all!! :wizard:
