Hi,

I have the Quick Service DDP on the first half of my stay, and no plan for the 2nd. I’ve read that when you check into your new hotel it can mess up any credits you might still have left to use before midnight ? Is this still true? Tried to research but couldn’t find definitive answer.

I know our credits won’t transfer to the 2nd hotel reservation. But I don’t want to check in a 4pm and then lose our dinner credits!

Good question and one that I might be dealing with during our next split stay.

It’s been a long time since I last saw reports of it happening, so not sure if DDP/WDW finally managed to fully fix the issue.

Hopefully it doesn’t happen!

If you’re physically checking in, I’d check the credits after entering the room with plans to hit the front desk if they’re gone (if still seeing the unused credits after entering your room, then you should be fine until midnight).

Another route is if your magic bands are set up for room charging privileges - then if you’re in the park all day and credits go awol after your new room is assigned, you can charge dining to the MB and later visit the front desk that night or next morning. They will be able to find your unused credits and apply them to the dining bills linked/charged on your magic band.

Neither may be convenient and/or possible depending for everybody though, depending on plans and circumstances, and I’m not sure if guest services could sort it?
