What is it like, Is it a simulator or a actual ride? Is it like a rollercoaster

Its a simulator, but the car moves along a track as well. Its very clever and well choriographed. For me, doesn't quite match the Mummy in Universal which *is* an indoor themed coaster.

I heard it has a big drop, How big is the drop and do you really feel it? I will not do rides that have drops, but I do like the mummy.

Well it simulates a drop, The car will tilt forward and the walls move (imax sim ?) giving the impression of falling. Its very well done and feels quite realistic. If you keep the simulation in mind then you'll be OK.

I guess its a great example of how technology and ingenuity can come close to matching real gravity. Try ShieKra at Busch if you like the real thing though. Thats our all-time favorite coaster (anywhere).

This is such a cool ride. It's a little like both a similator, and rollercoaster, lol.

The Spiderman ride is fantastic, whenever I go to Florida I ride it over and over again. It's probably my favourite ride in Islands of Adventure. The 'virtual' drop is the best bit!

mishlove68, it's a simulator ride that moves along a track, you also wear 3D glasses and there's lots of special effects.

Definately don't miss it. I've been to a few theme and amusement parks. In my opinion Spiderman is the best of the best.

Those above definitely have it right - Spiderman is one of (if not the best) ride at Universal (USF or IOA) - IMO.... i think why it's so special is because it is truely unlike anything else at other theme parks.... very, very cool - Don't miss it!!
