My son is 5 years old> HE is a spiderman nut.Has any one taken a child his age on Spidey?

Good or Bad?

My 3 1/2 year old loved it when we went in 2001. He barely made the 40" requirement by the hair (sticking up) on his head.

My almost 4 yr.old also loved it. You really have to judge your own child on the scare factor, of course, but if he loves Spider Man I'll bet you would have a hard time preventing him from riding it! Just tell him to look away or close his eyes if he gets frightened. That's what I do...

My four year old liked it... and she didn't have a problem with the bad guys once she knew what was going on.

My five year old LOVES it! he is much braver then I! LOL

My 5 year old son couldn't get enough of it, I think we ended up riding it about 4 times last week! :D He does have "no fear" though, it may frighten certain children.

my then 4 1/2 DD rode it 2X last yr and loved it

Kevs mom, that's a cute picture of your son and Spider-Man the Spider-Man shirt adds to it.

Thanks USO2003! He was soooo excited to meet Spiderman, he was even more thrilled when Spiderman told him how much he liked his shirt :D

Hey kevsmom, it must be in the name! My little Kevin doesn't have any fears either! Cute picture btw!

My 4 year old rode it on two different trips. He was scared to ride it the second time. Mean parent that I am, I talked him into it. While on the ride he can not take his eyes off of what is going on. He felt so cool and brave afterward. He tells me that they are just movies and toys and stuff and everyone screams to be funny. We watch people get off of rides and comment on how everyone is smiling. He still says at the end of every scary ride "we made it!" whenever he sees the unloading area. Also, he hangs on to Daddy's sunglasses and if there is a scary part, he puts them on. Kind of like closing his eyes, without closing them. I'm sure your son will love it, being a Spiderman fan.

My 4 year old nephew went on it 4 times when he was in Orlando a couple weeks ago. He loved it and it was his favorite ride in any of the theme parks. His 5 year old brother wouldn't go on it though. The 4 year old is much more adventuresome than the 5 year old so a lot of it depends on the kid.

I agree with DrCool, it really depends on the child. Surprisingly, I haven't found too many children who didn't like Spidey, they grew up with the video game era and this ride is like riding through one!

I do remember being in a car with a child that was screaming with parents who kept telling her it was alright. I asked to be let out, it upsets me to hear a frightened child on a ride and ruins my time on it. My son is a 'no fear' type like the Kevins, and I've never had that problem, thank goodness.

And YES, CPMs Kevin IS more adventurous than is MOM!!! LOL!!!!
