I read a lot of comments about the spice level toned down at various places (sanaa, san angel inn, etc). Any establishments that serves some meals with a good kick :firefight, and any particular recommendations?

I love me some spicy food!

I always ask for extra spicy, and there's always tobasco sauce ;)

I find San Angel at Epcot to have great spicy options.

I know at Sanaa, you can ask them to spice it up, so why not ask?

They also have a few spicy condiments that come with the bread service. I go with friends, we always get sambal with the bread, and we can use it on the entrees too.

At Yak & Yeti they will give you sriracha if you ask.

At La Hacienda de San Angel, the Del Mar Parrillada entrée was pretty spicy, especially the shrimp. My DW, who does not shirk from spicy, normally, gave the shrimp in this dish a pass. I normally don't like shrimp, but I ate these because the spice was enough to overpower the shrimp taste.

All of the sushi places will always give you more wasabi, so there's definitely kick there:)

At Marrakesh if you ask, they will give you a super hot sauce, but its an unusual hot, it starts out a bit sweeter and about 90 seconds later you need more beer!

The spicy Kazan roll at California Grill had a pretty good kick.

Also, some of the dishes at Jiko have a pretty good amount of heat!

Lots of it is toned down. I can't think of any place in Disney World that had food as spicy as, say, my local barbecue joint or Thai restaurant. There was a dish at the San Angel Inn that surprised me with its heat. It was a pork tamale, I think. I'm not sure if it's still on the menu, though. Like Nala said, the stuff at Sanaa can be "kicked up a notch." I will say that the habanero margarita on the standardized lounge menu is a true disappointment if you're looking for a burning sensation.

Let's just say that Heat Seekers should never do a Disney World episode.

The Kung Pao at Nine Dragons is nicely spiced :). It's my every time dish!

I agree that the 'hot' level of food is turned down at WDW. That's probably because they'd rather err toward not spicy enough rather than too spicy as there are a lot of people who don't like spicy food.

The most spicy dish I had at WDW was the Kung Pao chicken at Nine Dragons. When I ordered it, our server warned me it would be spicy. I told her that I like spice. They may have added a little extra for me, because it was spicy!

I will say that the habanero margarita on the standardized lounge menu is a true disappointment if you're looking for a burning sensation.

Go to La Cava and ask them if they can provide a habanero margarita. They can also adjust the heat level of the jalepeno margarita - if you ask.

Sanaa! They have some great "dips" with the naan bread that are very spicy.

Have to agree with the Kung Pao at Nine Dragons in Epcot. DH and I split this recently and had to ask for an extra bowl of white rice to cut the heat a little. It was really good though!
