Spice Road Table opinions...please

We will be back in WDW week before Thanksgiving and I wanted to plan a dinner for all of us together our first full night there. My mom is a vegetarian and is extremely picky (basically lives off of hummus and veggies!). I figured since we can see illuminations from here and she would like the food, this would be a great option. However, I just cant get myself excited about it. haha Most of us are big meat eaters..i looked at the menu and it is just so unappealing to me. Lamb is my only hope! So basically, if you have eaten there please tell me your opinion. I'll have a good attitude either way since it is for mom, but I want to know what to expect!

We've eaten there twice for lunch and it's very good. The servers are also so nice - really accommodating and friendly - and the atmosphere is lovely. We've eaten both inside and outside and like both areas. The hummus appetizer is quite big (IMHO) and could definitely make a meal with perhaps one other appetizer. The lamb is very good! My only disappointment on our second visit was they took the greek salad off the menu, so it doesn't really leave any fresh vegetable option (we are big salad eaters), so we probably won't be back. But, if that isn't a deal breaker, I think you will enjoy it!

We really liked it! Here's a post I wrote about our experience on another thread:

We didn't try the small plates. We each ordered the entrees; 2 of us had the mixed grill skewers, one had the coriander crusted rack of lamb, and one had the lamb sliders. The rack of lamb was my favorite, then the mixed grill skewers. I didn't try the lamb sliders. The harissa sauce on the mixed grill skewers is HOT. The chef told me I could order it on the side. (I'm gluten free, so he came out to talk to me) I got it on the skewers since I like hot, but if you don't like hot I would definitely get it on the side.

My only disappointment on our second visit was they took the greek salad off the menu, so it doesn't really leave any fresh vegetable option (we are big salad eaters), so we probably won't be back.

There is no longer a Greek salad on the menu? I was looking forward to having it as part of their "small plates" option, but if it's gone, I may rethink eating there. I was looking forward to the Greek Salad and the hummus.

Thank, y'all!!! awesome input making me feel a bit better about it...although now I am super curious about this greek salad and I did book the reservation so we could catch illuminations from there....hopefully we get a great table. I have never been inside this place so I have no idea whats a good table!
