Spice Road Table closing?

It is our favorite restaurant at Epcot so here's hoping it reopens and with close to or the same staff and food. We loved sitting outside and getting small plates, my son loved their beer and I loved their sangria. An added bonus was the special food and wine pairing meal they did during normal F&W. We also loved Marakesh restaurant as well and the entire pavilion was my favorite. I love grabbing an ice cream cone from France and sitting in the tile room and just enjoying the peace. The little museum was always full of interesting stuff.

Shame, I really liked Spice Road. Tried it as part of the Candlelight Processional package Christmas 2018 and it was a really pleasant surprise. We loved our food and found the portion size & everyting to be very reasonable price-wise. (Even without the dining package, I think it would have been very good value.) The place was huge with ample seating inside and out. Even during busy Christmas week, the restaurant was pretty empty. So I guess I'm not surprised that it's closing? Curious to see what Disney is going to replace it with.

To the OP asking for replacement suggestions, kind of hard considering it really depends on taste. I love the restaurants at the Japan pavilion, Chefs de France (food's not so great in my opinion, but I love the theme), definitely agree that the new America restaurant's menu looks compelling!, Via Napoli, Le Cellier... oh the list goes on. Really depends on how adventurous you guys are & what you like to eat.
