Spending New Years with Chicken Pox!

My DD had them last winter at 11 years. She was doing just fine other than high temperatures, until one got infected. Watch them closely. I don't want to scare you but she ended up in the hospital for 9 days! She missed about a month of school. It was horrible! The worst part is they had trouble finding a med that would fight the infection.

Sounds like you are doing all the right things. Hang in there and if in doubt, take him back to the doctor!

when that happened to your daughter last year, I felt so sorry for you all. I wonder how many people on the Dis went out and got their kids vaccinated after reading about your ordeal. That was scarey, I'm so glad all turned out ok.

Yikes! I feel so sorry for you. I don't have any advice but I do want to gives hugs. Tell your son we're thinking of him and send hugs to him too! As my Mom always used to say, "This too shall pass".
