I know this will vary for everyone, looking for some rough numbers. I'm trying to figure out a good amount to save up for spending money. Taking 3 girls, they should each have about $100 to buy their own things. We are packing food for in the parks (the girls voted packed food/stay longer as opposed to buy food/lose a day) but will probably end up with 1 QS or a few snacks per day. I will be buying a popcorn bucket and all the refills. I will be buying 1 tshirt or toy to commemorate YDDs first big Disney ride.

I don't have little ones anymore so my numbers are a little bigger but usually -
$10 per day for snacks - that is a churro and a soda/water. Most days DD and I will share a snack so we sometimes end up with extra.
For CS I look at the menus and see what we would get - anywhere between $15-20 per meal (for adults), kid meals are around $9-11.
Adult shirts are $25-$30
Toy prices are all over the place but maybe $20-25 would cover the more popular toys
Don't buy popcorn so I don't know the price on the buckets/refills.

Were those the kind of numbers you were looking for or were you looking for spending money aside from the things you already plan on getting?

I guess I was looking for anything I might have missed. I was planning on around $500 for 6 days but that will exclude BOG, any packed food and souvenirs the girls pick out (knowing those kids, they will spend all their money on food!). I will also be perusing eBay for things like mouse ears and princess dresses that they have already mentioned that they want. I will have the credit card for the emergency stuff but would love to not use it.

Aaah! got it ;) One thing I like about Disney vacations is that you can plan for all kinds of expenses way ahead and there are not many surprises. I think $500 would be plenty if you already budgeted for most of the extras. Check out Etsy for ears, I have found some great designs there.

I only have one child but every time we go to Disney she buys a new set of ears and a shirt/sweater and that is it. She sometimes brings back a few things for 2 or 3 friends like a key chain for their backpacks or cute pen. I think what we spend the most on is snacks/food like churros, ice cream, corn dogs, small snacks, but they for sure add up. I guess if you are already planning on buying ears and dresses on sale in ebay and stuff you should be ok with $500

If you buy disney gift cards ... it’s seems to hurt less, lol. I generally grab them when I food shop. Before you know it ... it all adds up.
Each family dynamic is different. I’m the worst offender... always grabbing things for gifts year round. If it were not for me, we d get away with minimal

I’m going to guess that with packed food, you’re driving? If so, are you staying onsite? Did you factor in overnight parking at your resort? It’s not included in the room-only or package prices because not everyone brings a car. It will be billed to your room account each night.

I would budget $25pp per day for a qs meal and/or snacks and your amount is right around there. Better to have left over than not enough and to be penny pinching at the end of the trip. What we do is put the daily amount in envelopes (so 6 envelopes of your budgeted amount per day) and we know that when it's gone, it's gone. Any leftover money gets added to next day and so on. Usually, when the kids were young and they had not spent enough during the day they knew a nice treat was usually coming their way in the evening so it kept the "can I have's " down.
I agree with you in that my kids were also more interested in getting food (all the cool snacks) than merchandise, and they do add up. Have a fantastic vacation!

My son and I are bringing $700 for 5 days. That gives us $140 a day for meals, snacks, and souvenirs. I know we won't spend anywhere near that a day even with all of our meals being eaten offsite at the kosher restaurants. I'll have breakfast items in our room and maybe a container of Walmart Cranberry Juice so we're not doing so much soda. I've done two days worth of meals at both restaurants and both times I came up around $40. I'm okay with that. I would spend that in Disney on their microwaved kosher meals and not get near the quality or amounts I do where it's made fresh. We won't get souvenirs everyday either. That's going to be a lot of our funds on our day in Disney Springs. But I've already set his limit at $100 as he's going right for the Legos. I just want a shirt or two and I'm good. I'll pick my son up one on my part of the budget and that'll be it!
