We always bring stuff to eat in the room. Saves time and a valuable credit

Then we do a counter service for lunch and TS for dinner (usually).
Perhaps I'm missing something, but why are you renting a car if your husband is driving his down?
I think that I'm the lowest spender here! We have gone for the past 3 years (4th this summer) and each time I spend maybe $100 max (and that's even pushing it). (This is NOT including any food or tips.) There is sooooo much to do already at Disney that is included in the price of admission that we just don't feel the need to spend $ doing other things. My kids also aren't really into souveniers. We've only ever bought 1 or 2 things per child each trip, with the emphasis on the actual experience of being there as the real treat. My daughter often gets a bit more just because she brings down her bday money to spend, but even then she really thinks through her purchases and has always made really good choices
I just can't even begin to wrap my head around spending even close to $2400 on "extras". Only $600 more and I've got another Disney vacation!
